This modernist design for a pool and pool house seeks to harmonize the building with the surrounding landscape while preserving an awareness of its unique island setting. The minimal parti places the poolhouse as a gateway to the landscape on the plaza of the pool. Clad in copper shingles that blend with the trees beyond, it is designed to respond to the elements: fire, air, water, and earth.
